Attenborough Arts Centre closed due to COVID-19

Due to the continued threat that COVID-19 (Coronavirus) poses and the vulnerable nature of some of our patrons, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors to the public from Saturday 21 March. The cafe is already closed.

Creative courses will continue until Friday 20 March.

Attenborough Arts Centre will be closed from Saturday 21 March for the foreseeable future.

We know that this is disappointing and it was not a decision that has been taken lightly. People who have purchased tickets for any performance taking place during this time will be contacted by our box office to arrange a refund. Our team is currently extremely busy so you may not hear from them immediately.

Please be assured that all ticket holders for cancelled events have options on refunds and will be contacted, however by not requesting a refund you would be making an exceptionally generous and much appreciated charitable donation during these unprecedented times.

“This is not a decision we have taken lightly,” said Michaela Butter, Director of Attenborough Arts Centre, “but we have a duty of care to our patrons. Coronavirus [COVID-19] is something that we are taking very seriously and we cannot risk anyone’s health.”

Thank you for being so understanding during this unprecedented time.

If you have any questions, please contact our team at 0116 252 2455 or email arts-centre@le.ac.uk.
