Leicester Comedy Festival is back for February 2022 bringing you the most celebrated comedy in Britain and beyond! We cannot wait and here is why you should be excited too.
As Europe’s biggest and longest running comedy festival – that is also celebrating its 29th anniversary – this year’s line-up features over 560 shows, over 800 performances, and 64 venues from the 2nd to the 20th February. It is incredible to see the festival back after a difficult 18 months, but we think we are all ready for a good hearty chuckle in 2022. This year we are taking part by hosting 12 incredible must-see performances! We have all the basis covered from incredible shows, family entertainment, side-splitting performances, and more. You don’t want to miss out of any of this.
Looking for shows to attend with you little ones? We have you covered. Stop by WAW! We Are All Winners for a jam-packed jamboree of daft games, dances, songs, slapstick, and cardboard with dad-and-daughter double act, Ian and Niamh Hall. Or maybe you want to join the award nominated Kids Court, where parents are on trial, and the children cheekily decide whether you are guilty or not. Feeling some music? Come by Shirley’s Pop-O-Rama-Nirvana were she invites all ages to join in, dance, sing along, and make props to re-create their favourite pop videos. Top-it-all-off by attending The Extraordinary Time-Travelling Adventures of Baron Munchausen, were comedians and improvisors tell extravagant stories all based on the Baron with swords, duels, elephants, and castles built of cheeses. Perfect family half-term fun!
