Digital Production Traineeships
Attenborough Arts Centre is delighted to invite applications for three new Digital Traineeships at our venue in Leicester. With the support of the Arts Council Recovery Grant, we are offering a unique opportunity to be mentored by experts, gain invaluable experience and work as part of our Studio Attenborough team through this work placement programme.

Attenborough Arts Centre is part of the University of Leicester and provides an inclusive arts experience for the community, offering opportunities for everyone to see art and make art. Now you can be part of our team, applying your creativity and skills, while developing knowledge and experience needed in the digital arts and cultural industries.
In autumn 2020 we launched ‘Studio Attenborough’, a new way to reach audiences through digital platforms. Studio Attenborough is split into three areas of delivery:
Creative Learning – Online art and craft classes hosted, sold and distributed through our website.
What’s on – Recordings of live performances and shows.
Gallery – Virtual tours, artist interviews and critical responses.
We have three posts available, which will all work together to assist with our new Studio Attenborough programme.
You will learn together and enjoy a bespoke development opportunity as well as individual mentoring.
The traineeships will:
- Enhance knowledge and skills in areas such as lighting and camera work and marketing.
- Provide real industry experience.
- Develop confidence through engaging with the community.
- Develop leadership skills.
- Ensure increased employability for a future role in the arts sector.
To provide key support and assistance to the Studio Attenborough Producer on the delivery of the public digital programme, while developing skills, knowledge, insight and experience. Spend time with various departments and managers at the centre and the University to gain experience in digital production and marketing to work towards own project by the end of March 2021.
