Trans Post Project Community Exhibition Launches

Artwork: ‘Rebel with a Cause’ by Fox Fisher.
This year the Trans Post Project sent out over 700 free postcard packs across the UK, centred on the theme of Trans Rebels. We had participants from all areas of life respond with their own postcard designs that’s have been collected and launched in our online community gallery in celebration of Trans Day of Visibility.
What does ‘Trans Rebels’ mean? Transness resists, transness refuses, transness rebels. Transness makes new ways of living and recovers old ones, remembers oppressions and reshapes the present. To inspire artwork, questions were asked such as: Who are your trans rebel heros? What is the best thing trans and gender-non-conforming people have changed about your world? What everyday rebellions give you strength – from rest and joy to working together. What would give you more? In hostile times, we hope this project has brought an opportunity to take power and share creativity with us all. Rebellion can feel like a constant part of trans life; a power, a burden, or maybe both, so we encourage all to show us what trans rebellion means to you.
The sent out packs included newly commissioned designs by Black Lodge Press, blkmoodyboi, Emma Frankland and Fox Fisher. Join in to see all the incredible community work that has been created for this incredible day by clicking here.
Attenborough Arts Centre would like to thank every artist that shared their design, as well as the youth groups, support circles and organisations that helped to facilitate this.
