The World’s Quickest Theatre Festival originates from Seattle US, and is now in it’s 10th year in Leicester. The festival gives artists a unique theatre playground, a team of generous collaborators and a pressured deadline to make new work quickly. For audiences, the festival is a unique night of performance, new work, live music, and a slick package of production to ensure a good night of entertainment for all.
14/48 Shuffle puts our theatre makers in the hands of fate, a random draw deciding who will write, direct, design, score or perform our 14 world premiere plays.

What are ‘Pay What You Can’ tickets?
We believe that that arts should be accessible for all. For this reason some of our shows and events this year will be ‘Pay What You Can’, meaning that you decide how much you can or want to pay. This expands access to the arts for those who may not have been able to participate otherwise, or gives others the chance to support those who cannot by paying a bit extra.
