Festive Fused Glass Decorations
Description
You’ll learn about working with fused glass, using coloured sheet glass and a wide range of accessory glass to create your designs in the workshop, which will then be fired by Katherine in her studio and returned for you to collect from Attenborough Arts Centre the next week. Enjoy them yourself or they make gorgeous little gifts for loved ones.
No experience of working with glass is needed so this is a great introduction to this fascinating craft. Because there is no glass cutting in this workshop, it is very suitable for people who may not have the strength to cut glass, or may be uncomfortable working with the sharp edges of sheet glass.
All materials will be provided.
Tutor Katherine has been a practicing glass designer and maker for 15 years and shares her passion for working with glass by delivering workshops at an introductory and more advanced level in glass fusing, copper foiling and traditional stained-glass panel making.
Participants aged 14+ are welcome but all under 18’s must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times.
We aim to make all our sessions as accessible as possible and carers/PAs are very welcome – just remember to book their free place when you book your session.
