Learn the art of intuitive mark-making and continuous line to creative vibrant lino prints. This workshop is all about the process of tapping into your own instincts while making, to utilise repetitive therapeutic movements that can allow your mood to influence the shape and colours created.
Using lino, you will carve away layers and areas to reveal your own work, to be printed onto paper. This technique will be revisited to over and over again until the print feels complete to you! Tutor, Johanna, will support you through every step to ensure that you create something you are proud of in the beautiful Botanic Gardens. All materials will be provided.
This workshop is led by Johanna Shearer, previously a teacher of the arts in local schools, she has taught at Attenborough Arts for over 4 years including the popular Adventures in Art course, and is an avid printmaker with a huge passion for crafts, collage and colour.
