Description

4 week course starting on Monday 7 August 2023.

Course Description:

Using traditional textile techniques in new and experimental ways tutor, Charlotte Tupper, will guide you through each week introducing themes and different approaches to build up your final image and create a piece of textile art that showcases a meaningful object from your home.

You will start by exploring shape and style, bringing items to life by using fabrics and printing processes to represent textures and forms. From there you will embellish your designs through a creative process of embroidery stitches, heat transfer printing and fabric manipulation. In a relaxing and supportive environment, this course is perfect for learners of any level, whether you are a dab hand with a needle and thread and looking to refresh your approach or completely new to textiles as a medium. A range of objects will be available to use as inspiration in the session, but do also feel free to bring your own in to share and work from.

Course Tutor:
