Problem and Criticism

Description
Course Description:
Join a group of like-minded artists to develop critical skills and become more confident in your own style. These friendly, supportive classes are devoted entirely to discussion and criticism of work done at home.
The six sessions are based around a focus and specific creative problems set by the tutor. You will be required to work outside of class using your own materials, resulting in a number of pieces using a variety of materials and approaches. The aim of the course is for you to pursue the brief using and developing your individual style, while exploring diverse techniques. Work can be of an experimental nature as vitality and freshness of approach is important, alongside sharing ideas, skills and means of expression.
Course Tutor:
Diane E Hall is a visual artist whose research and practice concerns the imperatives of conservation and the associated political issues of the natural environment. She believes that work should have a purpose but allow for exciting experimentation.
