Listen to a selection of field recordings of birdsongs and experiment with improvised mark making in response to the pitch, volume, direction and pattern of sound using paint, spray paint, pencil, ink, collage, wax pastels and oils pastels to produce vibrant original artworks.

Having recently shown her exhibition of bird artwork at Leicester Museum and Art Gallery, tutor Lucy Stevens has all the expertise to guide and support you through this one-day workshop. This unique class will allow you to interpret your own senses in a new and exciting way, by developing your visual interpretation skills as an individual and within a group; all taking place in the beautiful Botanic Gardens.
