WORD! Slam - with Some Antics!

Join us for WORD! Slam – this year bought to you by WORD! in collaboration with Some Antics.

With great poems and big prizes, the event will be hosted by Some Antics’ host, Sammy Nour (“A powerhouse on the scene, within seconds he has the crowd hooked.” – Mark Grist) and WORD! Host, Lydia Towsey (“funny, irreverent and rude, thanks to her mum, God bless them both” – Mark Gwynne Jones).

WORD! is an 22-year-old voluntary poetry and spoken word organisation based in the East Midlands and uniquely co-produced by an NHS Trust. They deliver one of the longest running poetry and spoken word nights in the UK (WORD! at Attenborough Arts Centre) alongside an ever expanding programme of other activities across Leicester and Nottinghamshire.
