Expressions of the Heart is an evening of Bharata Natyam presenting Leicester based dance artist Hiten Mistry.
Bharata Natyam is one of eight classical indian dance forms comprising of rhythmic footwork, stylised hand gestures and dramatic storytelling that evokes imagination, narratives and music as a composite art form that amalgamates movement, poetry, musicality and theatrical flair. Expressions of the Heart explores the various shades of love, this evening comprises of four pieces taking the audience on a journey through a traditional repertoire rooted exploration of the facets of expressions from the heart from various characters.
