Creative Wednesdays

Escape from your studies with our free drop-in craft sessions for UoL students on term-time Wednesday afternoons. From macramé to mindful drawing, cross stitch to soap carving  –  just swing by and give it a try!

Attenborough Late

Join us for a late night takeover as we curate a range of live performances in response to our exhibitions, alongside food, drinks and creative activities. Our next event takes place in October.

Music Scholarships

Are you a musician and would you like to continue your musical life alongside your studies at the University of Leicester? Music Scholarships of £500 are available for the 2023/24 academic year to cover the cost of music lessons for student musicians who are studying an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any subject.

Music Practice Rooms

Across the University of Leicester campus, Attenborough Arts Centre and the Student’s Union manage bookings for music practice rooms available to students and societies. Explore the available practice rooms, their equipment available and how to book them.

Pomerance Prize

The Pomerance Prize is awarded annually to students who make an exceptional contribution to the musical life of the University. Nominations are made to the Pomerance family each spring by the Honorary Director of Student Music.
