Rebel families and artists joined us for our annual Family Rave Festival

Our Family Rave Festival took place this weekend with over 300 of you joining us to rave and rebel! The revolutionary twist on the centre takeover let families of all ages dive into a world where dancing met change-making featuring vibrant activities, inspiring workshops and electrifying performances.

Each room offered something new and exciting! The outdoor areas featured circus play, bubble walkabout, hooping workshops and a range of ice-creams and vegan foods to nibble on. Into the main hall, the famous family rave took place with DJ sets, balloons and lots of glitter, followed by belly dancing, drum circles and a family film.

The galleries offered opportunities to experience the ARTIST ROOMS Jenny Holzer exhibition in partnership with the Tate and the National Galleries of Scotland, with movement and mindfulness workshops, breathwork and yoga.

Upstairs, each studio explored different art mediums such as dance workshops, art workshops to make protest banners and learn about guerrilla gardening with seed balls, and quiet spaces offering gong sound baths and a library space.

We want to thank every artist and performer we worked with who came together to deliver an amazing day for all the families. Looking for more family activities? With the launch of our new season we have a range of incredible family performances and workshops to explore. Learn more by visiting our website.
