Bargello Embroidered Star Decorations
Description
This perfect stash-busting craft uses yarn and a mesh frame to create sturdy embroidered decorations. Tutor Bonita will show you the stitch process and how to plan out your design. Then it’s up to you to let your creative juices flow with Bonita on hand should you need any guidance.
This three-hour workshop is ideal for anyone wanting to try a new textile craft, with an interest in embroidery, and wants to find a mindful and relaxing craft.

Tutor Bonita Keay is a passionate crafter and always says making is part of who she is! She started her handmade business journey in 2007 when her children were small and now sells regularly at craft fairs (including our Attenborough Arts Centre fairs!). Bonita is also an experienced tutor, sharing her knowledge, skills and passion with adults and young people, inspiring creativity and wellbeing wherever she goes. She sources all materials ethically and sustainably, supporting other small businesses where possible.
Our café will be open during your visit or you are welcome to bring your own refreshments.
All materials are provided.
Participants must be aged 12+. Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times.

We aim to make all our sessions as accessible as possible and carers/PAs are very welcome – just remember to book their free place when you book your session. We have four blue badge parking spaces outside Attenborough Arts Centre, plus double yellow line roadside parking very close to the building for blue badge holders for up to three hours if our parking spaces are occupied.
Free parking for all customers is available after 5pm on weekdays and all day at weekends in the University of Leicester car park next door to Attenborough Arts Centre on Lancaster Road. The closest public car park for parking at all other times is Victoria Park, 5-10 minutes walk from us.
