Leicester Family Day with Family Rave Festival and Cultural Quarter Earlies

One special Saturday in August hosts both our Family Rave Festival: We Could Be Heroes and the Cultural Quarter Earlies: Punk Kids – so we think it is time for families to celebrate with one big arty day!

The Family Rave Crew are taking over our entire centre to bring you a family fun filled day of festival frolics and fabulousness! All the joys of a festival without the wellies & soggy tent. Come dressed as your favourite hero and battle the baddies, get a professional super hero portrait taken, make forest school props in our gallery garden, make your own instruments, dance with the Nana Howe Soundsystem, make your own circus toys, and so much more including live performances and family films. You can explore our whole programme by clicking here.

On the same day at the LCB Depot, as part of the Punk festival, they are sticking it to the man, dressing with attitude and making some noise with their exhibition Punk: Rage and Revolution Reimagined, drawing revolutionary ideas and make them in clay, making your own badges and punk hairstyle, all with some punk music. It is a great day for all families in Leicester to get creative and explore different venues across the city, but the best part? You can travel between the venues for free with the Hop buses! Operating every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm, the bus can take you and your whole family from Attenborough Arts Centre’s Lancaster Road to the bottom of Rutland Road for the Cultural Quarter Earlies. An amazing day for all that you don’t want to miss out on.

Book here for Saturday 12 August for both Family Rave Festival: We Could Be Heroes and the Cultural Quarter Earlies: Punk Kids.
