Description

Using the University of Leicester’s beautiful Botanic Garden as inspiration, participants will explore a variety of approaches and materials, guided by the tutor, to create exploratory drawings leading to a final painting or mixed media piece.

Beginners and more experienced students are very welcome as individual interpretation will be encouraged, and all materials will be provided.

Diane is an experienced tutor, who has taught at Attenborough Arts Centre since its inception and the Botanic Gardens since 2006 and undertaken Art Residencies at both the University of Lincoln and Loughborough. She has an MA with distinction, is President of the LSA and is a practicing artist whose work is inspired by environmental issues.

The course will run 10am – 3.30pm over three consecutive days, starting on Monday 15 July and ending on Wednesday 17 July, with a break for lunch each day.

Further Information:

Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day but please bring a packed lunch and/or any special dietary items such as non-dairy milk. There are no catering outlets at the Botanic Garden.
