 Itinerary of workshops:

Workshop 1: Placard Making – 8 June, 6 July, 3 August, 31 August & 28 September
Jenny Holzer uses a lot of slogans and idioms in her work, and her general practice is around this idea of protest. Using the materials provided, express yourself creatively by making placards of all shapes and colours to say what you want to say!
Workshop 2: Poster Pasting, Harvested Truisms – 15 June, 13 July, 10 August & 7 September
Explore the Truisms of Jenny Holzer, by making your own collage posters with working found words. There will be newspaper and materials provided to cut out words and images from.
Workshop 3: Transform the Salmon Gallery with Lights, Colour and Words – 22 June, 20 July, 17 August & 14 September
Inspired by Jenny Holzer’s use of bright lights and words, this activity works with the idea of transforming the Salmon Gallery into our own space of lights, colours and words.
Workshop 4: Family Truisms – 29 June, 27 July, 24 August & 20 September
Working with Jenny Holzer’s ideas of truisms, we are inviting you to find your own truism- a family truism. Use type face, words and writing to come into play.
