This one-day workshop is a great opportunity to learn and explore the techniques of glass fusing, ideal for both beginners and those who have completed a previous course and want to develop their skills.
You will create two pieces from a choice of coaster or tile, a light-catcher and/or a shaped piece such as a bowl or freestanding curve.
No experience of working with glass is needed so this workshop provides a great introduction to this fascinating craft – but be warned, it can be addictive!
Katherine has been a practicing glass designer/maker for 15 years and shares her passion for working with glass by delivering workshops at an introductory and more advanced level in glass fusing, copper foiling and traditional stained-glass panel making.

The workshop will start at 10:30am and end at 4:30pm, with a short break for lunch. Our café will be open or you are welcome to bring a packed lunch with you.
Please ensure you book the correct date you require. You are welcome to book and attend more than one workshop if you would like more time to develop your fused glass skills! All materials are included in the course fee.
Participants must be 18+.

We have four blue badge parking spaces outside Attenborough Arts Centre, plus double yellow line roadside parking very close to the building for blue badge holders for up to three hours if our parking spaces are occupied.
Free parking for all customers is available after 5pm on weekdays and all day at weekends in the University of Leicester car park next door to Attenborough Arts Centre on Lancaster Road. The closest public car park for parking at all other times is Victoria Park, 5-10 minutes walk from us.
