The Sitar Music Society Is proud to present the next generation of talented artists:
- Kaviraj Singh, Santoor & Vocal
- Satwinder Pal Singh, Sarangi
- Upneet Singh & Rajvir Singh, Tabla
In our first Baithak Series of this year. A ‘baithak’ is a small gathering that gives a sense of intimacy with the artists with the audience sitting around them.
In this Baithak concert, the theme is ‘jugalbandi’, or duet. It will feature Kaviraj and Satwinder Pal as a duet collaborating on the Sarangi, Santoor and Vocal. They will be accompanied by both Upneet and Rajvir. The concert will also feature a jugalbandi Tabla Solo by Upneet and Rajvir.
It’s your chance to experience something quite rare in Indian Classical Music with these young talented ‘pairs’!
Doors Open 6pm
The event starts at 6.30pm prompt, and finishes at 8.45pm, with a short interval.
As always after our concerts, there will be an opportunity to interact with the artists and see the instruments close-up.
