Dee has taught pottery with us for 10 years and today we’re really sad to say is her last class. She is an established potter whose own hand-built work features tigers, cats, swans and much more, inspired by pottery history, and aided in her home studio by Ruby the cat. More is definitely more when it comes to Dee’s unique style! You’ll find Dee at many of the national craft fairs throughout the year and online at https://www.deebarnesdesigns.com/

Most recently Dee was successful in securing Arts Council England funding for a one year development project Flatback to the Future for which she’ll be spending the year travelling to learn alongside experts in the field, getting hands on with new techniques and immersing herself in some of the extraordinary ceramics collections that until now she’s been unable to visit in person.

Thank you, Dee, for all your time, expertise and humour shared with your students and the team here at Attenborough Arts Centre over the past decade. We’ll miss you hugely!
