Art
for All
A simple and powerful expression of who we are.
Our mission is to make art accessible to all. We identify and remove barriers to inclusion to enable everyone to experience creativity and culture.
We are a creative home for our communities, running participatory programmes which achieve over 24,000 engagements each year.
Based at the University of Leicester, Attenborough Arts Centre runs a range of arts and culture initiatives for our students and delivers the institution’s public programmes together with a range of partners, collectively engaging over 250,000 people annually.
We pioneer research in culture and creativity, championing the vital importance of art and creative thinking across society, including in social inclusion, education, health and wellbeing, digital culture, environmental sustainability and the economy.
We champion innovation, supporting artists to develop their talent through commissioning and residency programmes.
Join us for a range of exhibitions, performances, creatives courses and learning programmes alongside many more opportunities to get involved.

On the evening of Thursday 29 January, Attenborough Arts Centre celebrated ‘A Decade of Exhibitions’. To mark this special milestone, the event and exhibition looked back on both the programme, and also the memories and experiences of all those who have engaged with the range of artists and art we have presented and produced. This exhibition looks back at highlights from the past 10 years while inviting you to share your own stories and reflections.
