As one of the UK’s leading centres for art and culture it is our mission to make art accessible to all, and that includes for you!
Join us each weekend for a range of events tailored by our team to make getting creative and experiencing new opportunities easier than ever. Whether you want to try something hands-on in our Saturday Gallery Art Clubs, connect more with local organisations and artists at our Community Sunday Sessions, or a joining in for one of our Art Gallery Tours to discuss our exhibitions and gain alternative insights into the artwork, there is always something happening at the centre.
Each Saturday and Sunday our Attenborough Café will also be open, offering a new range of hot food including fresh baguettes, toasted sandwiches, salads pancakes, smashed avocado, poached eggs, jacket potatoes and more. All served with a range of hot or cold drinks by our wonderful café team.

With all materials provided, you get the opportunity to create in whatever medium you find most interesting or exciting. This includes paints, clay, drawing materials, printmaking, collage, and more. Either take up something you already enjoy or try something completely new!
We are partnering with local creative community groups for our weekly Sunday Sessions, to support artists and organisations while bringing you incredible workshops. Each session will be based in our Attenborough Café or the Salmon Gallery, and are free for everyone.
Each tour will respond to the exhibitions on display, providing insight and personal perspective on the works. You can share your opinions and get answers to any burning questions the works and themes inspire in you. Recommended for people new to the gallery.
Our Attenborough Café is the perfect place to relax and socialise with quality food and drink. Located next to our foyer and open 7 days a week, the space offers a great meeting point to further explore the centre whether you are here for a performance, our art galleries or a creative course.
With over twenty years of experience, we have grown our gallery space from the single Balcony Gallery to three large galleries built in 2015. Visit our exhibitions which showcase the work of leading contemporary visual artists, free of charge and open daily.
Get creative in artist-led creative courses, and explore our upcoming performances that showcase a diverse music, theatre, spoken word, dance and comedy events. A range of both programmes happen throughout the year.
