Celebrating 6 Years with BBC Children in Need

Attenborough Arts Centre’s Inclusive Youth Arts programme has been generously funded by BBC Children in Need since April 2015 and has now been running for 6 wonderful years. This short film celebrates how we have grown and developed our programme. We want to say huge thank you to BBC Children In need for making it all possible.

Our programme provides much-needed opportunities for children and young people with complex needs and disabilities to be creative, to feel great about themselves and to enjoy being with others.

All our workshops and performances are FREE to children and young people aged 0 – 18 years old with complex disabilities and needs from Leicester and Leicestershire.

Special thanks to our artists in residence without whom our online programme wouldn’t have been possible:

• Helen Duff

• Louise Kay

• Sian Watson Taylor

• Wai Sum Chong (Rhythm Circle)

We also want to say a huge thank you to all the amazing artists, performers and companies we have worked with over the last 6 years who have made the project so wonderful and inspiring.

  1. Michael Attenborough says:

    Astonishing, transformational, magical.

    And incredibly moving.

I can’t begin to tell you how blown away my dad would have been.

Everything he dreamed of – and more.

    THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

    xxoxx.
