Get perfect spring gifts at our Craft & Art Fair

This season we are excited to welcome new and returning artists and audiences to our Craft & Art Fair. With crafters from across the country sharing their work, there will be something unique that would make a perfect gift for yourself or a loved one this Summer.
Whether you come to all our fairs or have never been before, make sure you pop in on Saturday 3 May 11am-4pm and check out the fantastic talent on show. From woodland illustrations from Helen Shipton, to beautiful botanical castings by Caroline of the Castaway, and copper and silver jewellery from Christine Pearson, there is a wide range of work here to inspire anyone.
We are welcoming back Leicester-based artist Lucy Stevens, who has been working on new paintings celebrating the blackbird and its life cycles. She will be exhibiting the artwork at StudionAme but bringing a selection of blackbird prints to our Craft & Art Fair. Lucy will also bring her beautiful range of limited-edition prints, cards and small originals featuring your favourite birds, created in her art studio at StudionAme in Leicester.
And if you recognise Lucy’s work, it may be because we used her wonderful puffin image across all our Craft & Art Fairs last year!
The Fair will also feature the sale of work from the late Alan Caine who passed away in 2023. With Eleanor Hartley, working alongside Sir Richard Attenborough, Alan helped conceive, fund, design and launch the Attenborough Centre for Disability and the Arts, now Attenborough Arts Centre, in 1997. Alan’s estate has very kindly donated his work for sale to help raise essential funds for Attenborough Arts Centre. All donations will help us to continue to ensure everyone can access the arts, and fund some very much needed equipment to help disabled children, young people and adults enjoy their creative journey in our spaces. All of his artwork will be sold as pay-what-you-can.
Free or Pay What You Can entry for all with free parking at the university car park next door, and all-day access to our exhibitions. All areas are pushchair and wheelchair accessible, we have lift and external ramp access to the first floor and lower ground floor galleries, accessible toilets and a changing places bathroom, quieter spaces if the fair is a little overwhelming and assistance dogs are very welcome (just ask if they’d like some water while visiting).
