Apittame Arts presents Acting Workshops: Pilot Series

Whether you’re returning to acting, trying it out for the first time, or just looking for a creative outlet—this is a space for you.

Join us for a brand-new series of acting workshops designed to be exploratory, low-pressure, and collaborative. Across six fortnightly sessions, participants will explore acting techniques, ensemble-building, and creative expression in a warm and inclusive environment.

This pilot series is a chance to try things out, get to know one another, and shape what a longer-term programme could become. There’s no pressure to perform—just space to play, connect, and build confidence. Sessions are open to anyone aged 18+, regardless of experience. Each one is led by a team of passionate local creatives and facilitators committed to making theatre more accessible and community-driven.

First session on 6 September is free, pay what you can after that. Come along, bring a friend, and see what it’s all about!

What are ‘Pay What You Can’ tickets?

We believe that that arts should be accessible for all. For this reason some of our shows and events this year will be ‘Pay What You Can’, meaning that you decide how much you can or want to pay. This expands access to the arts for those who may not have been able to participate otherwise, or gives others the chance to support those who cannot by paying a bit extra.

You will see multiple prices available for each show or event. You can select whichever price you can afford or would like to pay – thank you.
