January 13, 2026 @ 13:00 - March 24, 2026 @ 16:00
£155 – £205
A collection of ceramic cats wearing gold crowns.

An inspiring afternoon class for anyone who is proficient in all hand building techniques with a desire to express yourself through clay.

Challenge yourself with guided projects set by tutor Dee with the freedom to create and develop your own ideas.

This 10-week course is suitable for those with at least two years experience and who are fairly confident and proficient at working with clay. It can also be completed as a follow-on if you have previously attended our Beginners Hand Building course.

Each week tutor Dee will set challenging projects, with demonstrations and visual examples, for you to follow, or you can work on your own projects with guidance from Dee as/when you need it.

You’ll be encouraged to push your design boundaries and grow your understanding of how to produce high quality ceramics, refining and honing your skills and learning new techniques and tips.

About the tutor:

Tutor and full-time potter Dee Barnes has taught pottery for over 40 years and produces her own distinct ceramics from her home studio in Grantham. She sells her work online, with several independent galleries, and at ceramics fairs up and down the country.
