Rebel Sparks: Take Flight

May 16 @ 11:00 - 12:00
£5 – £20
A women in a silver oufit and yellow neck roof, flying through the air with a kick in a dark room on yellow aerial ropes.

Take Flight is a stunning aerial theatre show for 0-2 year olds and their grown ups.

The story follows a musical mother bird as their baby hatches, grows and explores, navigating the challenges of hunger, sleep and play. Culminating in a beautiful aerial moment, the mother bird supports her baby to leave the nest & take flight.

This multi-sensory, interactive show ignites the imagination and curiosity of babies who are then invited into the space with the performers to explore the baby safe set and props, including having a swing in the silks.

We worked with development psychologist Dr Valentina Sclafani from Lincoln University to ensure the content is positive for babies in terms of neurological & motor skills development & encourages a strong bond between babies and their grown ups.

This show is 35 min long, plus a 15 min stay and play.

“Our 10 month old was just mesmerized and her attention was held the whole way through (which is a miracle in itself)”

Age Recommendation: 0-2

Show Notice: Every adult and baby must have their own ticket. At checkout please select each ticket, with the price you want to pay. There is a max of 2 adults per baby.

Recommended Price: £10

What are ‘Pay What You Can’ tickets?

We believe that that arts should be accessible for all. For this reason some of our shows and events this year will be ‘Pay What You Can’, meaning that you decide how much you can or want to pay. This expands access to the arts for those who may not have been able to participate otherwise, or gives others the chance to support those who cannot by paying a bit extra. You will see multiple prices available for each show or event. You can select whichever price you can afford or would like to pay – thank you.
