Stamp & Print: A Set of Decorations, Bringing the Outside In
Use foliage, paint, gel printing plates and botanical stamps to create a set of beautiful hanging decorations.
Explore the world of simple nature-based printing in this hands-on half day workshop. Let the plant’s shapes, textures and your preferred colours inspire your creativity.
Absolutely no experience necessary – just an interest in printmaking and an apron!
You will:
- Learn how to select suitable botanicals and work with ‘stay open’ inks.
- Create unique plant prints, using a gelli plate, over layered with stamped impressions.
- Take home your very own set of 5 wooden-based decorations, ready to hang or gift!
About the tutor:
Tutor Su France is a rural-based printmaker and earth pigment textile artist whose work connects with the arable farm landscape around her. Drawing inspiration from fields, ceramic traditions and kintsugi philosophy, she creates thoughtful pieces that celebrate imperfection in life and nature.
Working with locally sourced earth pigments, Su develops rich, muted palettes that capture the essence of place and evoke a sense of tranquillity. Her own process combines printmaking with delicate hand-stitching, using vintage threads to trace agricultural patterns and reference human interactions with the land. Find out more about Su’s practice at https://www.sufrancedesigns.com/
