WORD! presents: Clothes Swap

Come on down for the launch of a brand new season of WORD! at Attenborough Arts Centre – kicked off in style with Clothes Swap followed by Clothes Swap Story Shop.

Co-curated with Cathi Rae, a poet, campaigner against ageism and body positive model, this event will feature a clothes swap to bring in your old clothes and swap them for new items. Community building and environmentally friendly, get fashionable while being sustainable!

The event is followed by Clothes Swap Story, a drop-in poetry workshop and spoken word open mic. Bring your clothing, poems, tops and tales, and take away more.

The afternoon will be headlined by a live performance at 3pm, featuring Cathi, alongside other artists to be announced.

For the clothes swap please bring up to 10 items of good quality stuff – and take home up to 10 items to upgrade your wardrobe..

What are ‘Pay What You Can’ tickets?

We believe that that arts should be accessible for all. For this reason some of our shows and events this year will be ‘Pay What You Can’, meaning that you decide how much you can or want to pay. This expands access to the arts for those who may not have been able to participate otherwise, or gives others the chance to support those who cannot by paying a bit extra.

You will see multiple prices available for each show or event. You can select whichever price you can afford or would like to pay – thank you.
