We Liming Creative Salon: Using our Voice and Creativity for Change and Progress Facilitated by curator and speaker Melanie Abrahams, with writers and performers Michael Brome and Lydia Towsey, this creative session explores the power of literature and spoken voice as tools for change. 

Drawing inspiration from Caribbean and British-Caribbean writers and artists, including the late Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze, participants will reflect on creative approaches that can inform and enrich their own practice. Suitable for early to mid-career writers, poets and artists using writing or performance in their work.

Presented as a prelude to the evening showcase featuring Grace Nichols and guests, the session particularly welcomes participants of Caribbean heritage and other Black, global majority and intersectional backgrounds.

This expands access to the arts for those who may not have been able to participate otherwise, or gives others the chance to support those who cannot by paying a bit extra.
